कद्रू-इन्द्र-स्तुतिः तथा नागानां तापनिवृत्तिः
Kadrū’s Hymn to Indra and the Nāgas’ Distress
घोरं जलचरारावरौद्रै भैरवनि:स्वनम् । गम्भीरावर्तकलिलं सर्वभूतभयंकरम्,वह घोर समुद्र जल-जन्तुओंके शब्दोंसे और भी भयंकर प्रतीत होता था, उससे भयंकर गर्जना हो रही थी, उसमें गहरी भँवरें उठ रही थीं तथा वह समस्त प्राणियोंके लिये भय-सा उत्पन्न करता था
ghoraṁ jalacarārāvaraudraiḥ bhairavaniḥsvanam | gambhīrāvartakalilaṁ sarvabhūtabhayaṅkaram ||
ရှောနကက ပြောသည်– «ထိုသမုဒ္ဒရာသည် ကြောက်မက်ဖွယ်ကောင်းလှ၏။ ရေထဲသတ္တဝါတို့၏ ကြမ်းတမ်းသောအော်ဟစ်သံများကြောင့် ပိုမိုကြောက်မက်ဖွယ် ဖြစ်လာ၏။ ကြောက်စရာကောင်းသော ဟိန်းဟောက်သံဖြင့် မြည်တမ်းကာ နက်ရှိုင်းသော ဝဲလှိုင်းများကြောင့် ရေပြင်သည် ရောယှက်ရှုပ်ထွေးလျက်ရှိပြီး သတ္တဝါအပေါင်းတို့၏ စိတ်၌ ကြောက်ရွံ့မှုကို ထူထောင်သကဲ့သို့ ထင်ရ၏»။
