Āstravidyā-Pradarśana: The Kuru Princes’ Public Demonstration of Arms (आस्त्रविद्या-प्रदर्शनम्)
वैशम्पायन उवाच एवमुक्त्वाब्रवीन्माद्री सकृच्चिन्तय दैवतम् । तस्मात् ते भवितापत्यमनुरूपमसंशयम्,वैशम्पायनजी कहते हैं--जनमेजय! महाराज पाण्डुके यों कहनेपर कुन्तीने माद्रीसे कहा--“तुम एक बार किसी देवताका चिन्तन करो, उससे तुम्हें योग्य संतानकी प्राप्ति होगी, इसमें संशय नहीं है”
Vaiśampāyana uvāca: evam uktvābravīn Mādrīṃ sakṛc cintaya daivatam | tasmāt te bhavitāpatyam anurūpam asaṃśayam ||
ဝိုင်ရှမ္ပါယန မိန့်တော်မူသည်။ ထိုသို့ဆိုပြီးနောက် ကုန္တီသည် မာဒရီအား ပြော၏— «တစ်ကြိမ်သာ နတ်ဘုရားတစ်ပါးကို စိတ်ဖြင့် အာရုံပြု၍ ဖိတ်ခေါ်လော့။ ထိုမှတစ်ဆင့် သင်နှင့်သင့်တော်သော သားသမီးကို မသံသယမရှိဘဲ ရလိမ့်မည်»။
