निवर्तमान त॑ दृष्टवा राजान: सर्व एव ते । प्रेक्षका: समपद्यन्त भीष्मशाल्वसमागमे,उन्हें लौटते देख सब राजा भीष्म और शाल्वके युद्धमें कुछ भाग न लेकर केवल दर्शक बन गये
nivartamānān dṛṣṭvā rājānaḥ sarva eva te | prekṣakāḥ samapadyanta bhīṣmaśālvasamāgame ||
ဝိုင်သမ္ပာယနက ပြောသည်။ သူတို့ ပြန်လှည့်လာသည်ကို မြင်သော် ထိုဘုရင်အပေါင်းတို့သည် တိုက်ပွဲတွင် မည်သို့မျှ မပါဝင်ဘဲ ဘိဿမနှင့် ရှာလ္ဝတို့၏ ထိပ်တိုက်တွေ့ဆုံမှုကို ကြည့်ရှုသူများသာ ဖြစ်လာကြ၏။ ဤမြင်ကွင်းသည် ထိန်းချုပ်မှု၏ ခဏတစ်ခါကို ဖော်ပြသည်—ပဋိပက္ခကို ပိုမိုမီးထိုးရန် မဝင်ရောက်ဘဲ စုဝေးနေသော အုပ်ချုပ်ရှင်တို့သည် ကြည့်ရှုရန်ကိုသာ ရွေးကာ၊ တစ်ဦးချင်း ဒွဲလ်ကို အစုလိုက်အပြုံလိုက် မတိုးချဲ့စေဘဲ ဆက်လက်ဖြစ်ပွားစေ하였다။
