Daśa-lakṣaṇam: The Ten Topics, Virāṭ-Puruṣa Sense-Manifestation, and the Supreme Shelter (Āśraya)
सूत उवाच राज्ञा परीक्षिता पृष्टो यदवोचन्महामुनि: । तद्वोऽभिधास्ये शृणुत राज्ञ: प्रश्नानुसारत: ॥ ५१ ॥ यच्च व्रजन्त्यनिमिषामृषभानुवृत्त्या दूरेयमा ह्युपरि न: स्पृहणीयशीला: । भर्तुर्मिथ: सुयशस: कथनानुराग- वैक्लव्यबाष्पकलया पुलकीकृताङ्गा: ॥
sūta uvāca rājñā parīkṣitā pṛṣṭo yad avocan mahā-muniḥ tad vo ’bhidhāsye śṛṇuta rājñaḥ praśnānusārataḥ
သီရိ စူတ ဂိုစွာမီ မိန့်ကြားသည်—ဘုရင် ပရိက္ခစ်၏ မေးခွန်းများကို ဖြေကြားရာတွင် မဟာမုနိ ပြောကြားခဲ့သမျှကို မေးခွန်းအစဉ်အတိုင်း ငါသည် သင်တို့အား ရှင်းလင်းမည်; စိတ်နှလုံးတင်၍ နားထောင်ကြလော့။
Any question that is put forward may be answered by quoting the authority, and that satisfies the saner section. That is the system even in the law court. The best lawyer gives evidence from the past judgment of the court without taking much trouble to establish his case. This is called the paramparā system, and learned authorities follow it without manufacturing rubbish interpretations.
This verse describes devotees becoming overwhelmed while glorifying the Lord—tears arising and the body experiencing ecstatic thrills—showing heartfelt attachment to the Lord’s fame.
Sūta is recounting Śukadeva’s reply to Parīkṣit and promises to present the teachings in the same order as the King’s questions, preserving the Bhagavatam’s narrative flow.
Regularly hear and share the Lord’s pastimes and qualities with sincere devotees; loving remembrance through kīrtana and discussion gradually softens the heart and deepens devotion.
