सप्तद्वीप-समुद्र-प्रमाणम्: प्लक्षादि-द्वीपवर्णनं, लोकालोक-सीमा, चन्द्र-समुद्र-वृद्धिक्षयः

ज्योतिष्मतः कुशद्वीपे सप्त पुत्रान् शृणुष्व तान्

jyotiṣmataḥ kuśadvīpe sapta putrān śṛṇuṣva tān

Sekarang dengarkan tujuh orang putera Jyotiṣmān di Kuśadvīpa; akan aku ceritakan mereka kepadamu menurut turutan.
