Mengelilingi Jambūdvīpa dari segala sisi, wahai Maitreya, di luarnya terbentang Samudra Kṣāra (Laut Masin) seluas seratus ribu yojana, terletak seperti gelang berbentuk cincin yang melingkari benua itu.
