एवं तस्य प्रसुप्तस्य गता सा रजनी ततः । ततस्त्वरितवत्तस्य सुश्रांतस्य द्विजोत्तमाः
evaṃ tasya prasuptasya gatā sā rajanī tataḥ | tatastvaritavattasya suśrāṃtasya dvijottamāḥ
Demikianlah, ketika dia tidur, malam itu pun berlalu. Kemudian—wahai yang terbaik antara para brāhmaṇa—peristiwa-peristiwa datang dengan cepat menimpa orang yang amat letih itu.
