The Greatness of Bhasma, Rudrākṣa, and the Name of Śiva

It teaches that Shiva’s grace flows through devotional darśana: seeing the Lord with prīti (loving reverence) yields the same purifying merit as pilgrimage, emphasizing bhakti as a direct means to upliftment.
The verse highlights Saguna-upāsanā—approaching Shiva in a worshipable, perceivable form. Darśana of the Lord (including Linga-darśana) becomes a vehicle of tīrtha-phala when done with devotion.
Practice devotional darśana with inner joy—visit a Shiva shrine or Linga, take focused sight (dhyāna through the eyes), and pair it with japa of the Panchākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) to deepen prīti.
