FAQs

It declares that true bhakti toward Śiva’s Name is a rare attainment matured by tapas over many lives, and that such name-devotion is intrinsically purifying—capable of burning away accumulated pāpa and turning the soul toward Śiva (Pati).

Śiva-nāma is a direct, accessible form of Saguna worship: the devotee approaches Śiva through His revealed Name, often alongside Liṅga-pūjā and pañcākṣarī-japa, making devotion steady and cleansing the bonds (pāśa) that obscure realization.

Regular japa of Śiva’s Name—especially the pañcākṣarī mantra “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”—with a disciplined life of tapas (restraint, purity, and worship), optionally supported by Rudrākṣa and Tripuṇḍra as Shaiva aids.
