Tattva Level: pasha
Sthala Purana: General phala-śruti for daily faith-filled worship connected with devas and agni: grants progeny and desired aims; pacifies sins and destroys specific demerits.
Significance: Positions ritual faith (śraddhā) and nitya-karma as purificatory—reducing pāśa as mala/karmic burden—preparatory to higher Śaiva liberation teachings.
Role: nurturing
Offering: dhupa
It teaches that steady, faith-filled daily religious observance purifies the soul by pacifying all pāpa and erasing particular durita, preparing the devotee for Shiva’s grace and inner clarity.
In the Vidyeśvara context, disciplined daily worship offered with śraddhā (often including Linga-pūjā and allied rites) is presented as a practical means to receive worldly supports and, more importantly, purification that supports devotion to Saguna Shiva leading toward realization.
Daily worship performed with faith—especially offerings connected with sacred fire (homa) and regular pūjā—done consistently as a purificatory discipline; if paired with Shiva-oriented japa (e.g., pañcākṣarī), it aligns the practice with Shaiva devotion.
