Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Vaidyanātha
It presents Śiva as the supreme healer: not only curing bodily disease but removing the deeper affliction of saṃsāra, implying that devotion and right worship of Śiva are the highest medicine.
By calling the Lord the ‘remedy of remedies’ and linking Him with an auspicious sacred day, the verse supports Saguna worship—such as Linga-pūjā—performed on Śiva’s favored times to receive grace, purification, and well-being.
Observe Śiva’s sacred day with Linga-abhiṣeka, japa of the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya), and simple vrata (discipline) for health, inner cleansing, and release from bondage.
