FAQs

It points to how the cosmos is governed through elemental functions—fire transforms, wind moves, and space supports—inviting the seeker to discern the tattvas and turn the mind toward the higher Lord (Pati) who transcends and orders them.

In Linga worship, devotees contemplate Shiva as the support of all—subtler than space yet present within it—while the elements become offerings and symbols of transformation, movement, and all-pervading support centered on Saguna Shiva as the accessible focus.

A practical takeaway is bhūta-śuddhi (elemental purification) during japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya), mentally offering the functions of fire, wind, and space into Shiva as the inner ruler.
