वियोगे द्विगुणन्तस्य दुःखम्भवति नित्यशः । तत्र धैर्य्यधरस्यापि कथन्धैर्य्यम्भवेदिह
viyoge dviguṇantasya duḥkhambhavati nityaśaḥ | tatra dhairyyadharasyāpi kathandhairyyambhavediha

It highlights how worldly attachment intensifies suffering in separation, implying that true steadiness arises when the soul (paśu) turns from transient bonds toward Shiva (Pati), the stable refuge beyond change.
When separation agitates the mind, Saguna worship—especially Linga-upasana—gives the devotee a concrete, compassionate focus, helping convert grief into remembrance (smaraṇa) and surrender to Shiva’s presence.
Regular japa of the Panchakshara mantra “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” with steady breath, along with simple Linga-archana using water and bhasma (Tripuṇḍra), is a direct practice to stabilize the mind in times of intense sorrow.
