उपमन्युकुमारस्य क्षीरार्थ-प्रार्थना तथा शिवप्रसाद-निबन्धनम् | Upamanyu’s Longing for Milk and the Doctrine of Shiva’s Grace
देवी च शृण्वती प्रीत्या मूर्ध्निदेशे कराम्बुजम् । विन्यस्य प्रददौ तस्मै कुमारपदमक्षयम्
devī ca śṛṇvatī prītyā mūrdhnideśe karāmbujam | vinyasya pradadau tasmai kumārapadamakṣayam
Tatkala Dewi mendengar dengan sukacita, Baginda meletakkan tangan laksana teratai di atas kepalanya sebagai berkat, lalu mengurniakan kepadanya kedudukan Kumāra yang tidak binasa—kesonanan putera ilahi dan kewibawaan yang kekal.
