Daripada sebahagian Śiva lahirlah Durvāsā, harimau dalam kalangan para muni dan pertapa yang terbaik. Beliau lahir daripada wanita itu, isteri Atri, lalu menjadi penggerak dan penegak dharma yang unggul.
