“Mulai hari ini, jadilah engkau yang menumpukan diri pada anugerah dan kesejahteraan manusia. Setelah menguji murid itu selama genap setahun, terimalah dia secara rasmi menurut tata cara yang ditetapkan.”
Lord Shiva
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Role: liberating
It teaches that a Shaiva teacher must embody anugraha (divine grace expressed as compassion) and also uphold discernment—only after sustained testing should a disciple be accepted, so the path to Shiva is protected from misuse and strengthened by steadiness.
Linga-worship and Saguna Shiva devotion are traditionally received and stabilized through proper guidance; this verse frames that guidance as both grace and rule—compassionate instruction, but initiation and acceptance only after proven readiness.
It implies disciplined preparation before diksha: living with restraint and devotion, receiving instruction in Shiva-mantra (such as the Panchakshara), and adopting approved Shaiva conduct—often including regular japa and worship under a qualified guru.
