मैत्रीप्रतिज्ञा-वैरकारणप्रश्नः
Friendship Vow and Inquiry into the Cause of Enmity
बलवान् हि ममामर्षश्श्रुत्वा त्वामवमानितम्।वर्तते हृदयोत्कम्पी प्रावृड्वेग इवाम्भसः।।
balavān hi mamāmarṣaḥ śrutvā tvām avamānitam |
vartate hṛdayotkampī prāvṛḍ-vegam ivāmbhasaḥ ||
Sesungguhnya, apabila aku mendengar engkau dihina, kemarahanku bangkit dengan dahsyat; hatiku bergetar gelisah, bagaikan air yang digoncang derasnya musim hujan.
'Tell me freely and cheerfully before I string the bow. Your enemy will be destroyed as soon as I release my arrow.'
