'O bull among monkeys! when the Sun rises from behind the eastern mountain it is possible for me to start with him and go to the western horizon and return before the blazing Sun with its beams of light sets. It is also possible for me to descend to the earth with the same speed and return to the Sun without touching the earth.
Dharma is decisive, timely action for a righteous goal; the verse underscores readiness to act swiftly so truth and justice are not delayed.
Immediately before the leap to Laṅkā, Hanumān proclaims that his speed can match even the Sun’s course, assuring success of the search for Sītā.
Zeal in service (sevā-bhāva) combined with extraordinary capability—energy harnessed for a dharmic mission.
