पूर्वदिशि सीतामार्गण-नियोगः
Deployment to the Eastern Quarter for the Search of Sita
ख्यातकर्मापदानाश्च बलवन्तो जितक्लमाः।पराक्रमेषु विख्याता व्यवसायेषु चोत्तमाः।।4.40.4।।पृथिव्यम्बुचरा राम नानानगनिवासिनः।कोट्यग्रश इमे प्राप्ता वानरास्तव किङ्कराः।।4.40.5।।
khyātakarmāpadānāś ca balavanto jitaklamāḥ | parākrameṣu vikhyātā vyavasāyeṣu cottamāḥ || 4.40.4 ||
pṛthivy-ambucarā rāma nānā-naga-nivāsinaḥ | koṭyagraśa ime prāptā vānarās tava kiṅkarāḥ || 4.40.5 ||
Wahai Rāma, para vānara yang gagah—terkenal dengan jasa lampau, tidak mengenal letih, masyhur dalam keberanian dan unggul dalam keteguhan usaha—yang mendiami pelbagai gunung serta mampu bergerak di darat dan di air, kini telah tiba berpuluh-puluh krore, siap menjadi pengiring Tuanku.
Powerful vanaras who have earned fame for their valiant deeds in the past, those who are indefatigable and well-known for their valour having gained pre-eminence through their efforts and living on several mountains, those who can move on the earth as well as water, crores of them have arrived.
