FAQs

It prescribes bathing (snāna) and maintaining śauca—ongoing cleanliness and purity—as a daily discipline.

The kamaṇḍalu symbolizes an ascetic’s simple, regulated life—used for water in rituals and daily needs—marking a disciplined renunciant identity.

The verse teaches self-restraint and simplicity: cultivate purity, continence (brahmacarya), and detachment expressed as a readiness for austere living (vanavāsa).
