Rules of Edible and Inedible Foods
आविकं संधिनीक्षीरमपेयं मनुरब्रवीत् । बलाकं हंसदात्यूहं कलविंकं शुकं तथा
āvikaṃ saṃdhinīkṣīramapeyaṃ manurabravīt | balākaṃ haṃsadātyūhaṃ kalaviṃkaṃ śukaṃ tathā
Manu menyatakan bahawa susu biri-biri dan susu lembu dalam keadaan saṃdhinī (baru beranak) tidak boleh diminum; demikian juga hendaklah dijauhi memakan burung balāka, haṃsa, dātyūha, kalaviṅka, dan juga śuka (burung nuri).
