Discipline of Action as Worship

श्वश्रूः पितामही ज्येष्ठा धात्री च गुरवः स्त्रियः । ज्ञेयस्तु गुरुवर्गोऽयं मातृतः पितृतो द्विजाः

śvaśrūḥ pitāmahī jyeṣṭhā dhātrī ca guravaḥ striyaḥ | jñeyastu guruvargo'yaṃ mātṛtaḥ pitṛto dvijāḥ

Ibu mertua, nenek, kakak perempuan yang sulung, dan dhātrī (ibu susuan/pengasuh)—para wanita ini hendaklah dianggap sebagai guru yang mulia. Wahai kaum dvija, golongan guru ini hendaklah difahami berasal daripada kedua-dua jalur, sebelah ibu dan sebelah bapa.
