FAQs

It presents pilgrimage as a potent spiritual practice: visiting the holy site Lāviḍhikā is said to confer merit comparable to performing the Vājapeya, a major Vedic sacrifice.

The Vājapeya is a prestigious Soma rite associated with great religious merit; the verse uses it as a benchmark to communicate the exceptional फल (spiritual reward) attributed to this tīrtha.

It implies that sanctity is reinforced by the conduct and presence of the righteous, encouraging seekers to associate with holy places and communities shaped by virtuous practice.
