FAQs

It links liberation (mukti) with sustained austerity (tapas) directed toward the Supreme Lord (Parameśvara), using Ahalyā as the exemplar.

It anchors the narrative in a precise sacred time-marker from the Hindu lunar calendar, a common Purāṇic technique for indicating auspicious timing and ritual context.

Parameśvara can denote Śiva in many contexts, but it can also function as a general title for the Supreme Lord; without the surrounding verses, the safest reading is the honorific 'Supreme Lord,' with possible Śaiva coloring.
