Umā’s Austerity, Kauśikī’s Manifestation, and Skanda’s Birth Leading to Tāraka’s Defeat

उमापि प्राप्तसंकल्पा जगाम गिरिशांतिकं । प्रविशंतीं तु तां द्वारादपहृत्य समाहितः

umāpi prāptasaṃkalpā jagāma giriśāṃtikaṃ | praviśaṃtīṃ tu tāṃ dvārādapahṛtya samāhitaḥ

Umā juga, setelah menetapkan azamnya, pergi menghadap Giriśa (Śiva). Namun ketika dia hendak melangkah masuk melalui pintu, Baginda—tenang dan menguasai diri—menariknya kembali dari ambang.
