क्व पुत्रि गच्छसीत्युच्चैरालिग्योवाच देवता । सा तस्याः सर्वमाचख्यौ शंकरात्कोपकारणम्

kva putri gacchasītyuccairāligyovāca devatā | sā tasyāḥ sarvamācakhyau śaṃkarātkopakāraṇam

Sang Dewi memeluknya lalu berseru, “Wahai anak perempuan, ke manakah engkau pergi?” Kemudian dia menceritakan segala-galanya—punca kemurkaan Śaṅkara.
