भवतां केन चाक्षिप्ता तीव्रता नस्तदुच्यतां । एवमुक्ताः सुरास्तेन ब्रह्मणा ब्रह्मवर्तिना
bhavatāṃ kena cākṣiptā tīvratā nastaducyatāṃ | evamuktāḥ surāstena brahmaṇā brahmavartinā
“Siapakah yang menimpakan kedahsyatan/derita ini ke atas kamu? Nyatakan kepada kami.” Demikianlah para dewa ditegur oleh Brahmā itu, yang teguh bersemayam dalam Brahman.
