Concept: Power can expand rapidly when fueled by collective desire and approval; without dharma it becomes a storm that threatens the worlds.

Application: Notice what ‘feeds’ your growth—praise, rivalry, or service. Choose disciplines that increase sattva (truthfulness, restraint, devotion) so your strength benefits others.

Primary Rasa: raudra

FAQs

Kālanemi is presented here as a powerful Asura associated with the Dānava faction, depicted as increasing in power and radiance to support and please his group.

It conveys rapid, visible accumulation—just as a monsoon cloud swells after summer heat, Kālanemi’s potency and influence intensify at a decisive moment.

The verse highlights how strong intention and allegiance can amplify one’s power—implying that growth (tejas) is driven by purpose, though here it is directed toward an Asuric cause.
