FAQs

Daityas are a class of powerful beings often portrayed as opponents of the Devas in Purāṇic literature, frequently associated with conflict, ambition, and rivalry with divine orders.

The mounts suggest a militarized scene and the presence of an organized force—horses indicating speed and cavalry, and rutting elephants indicating overwhelming power and intimidation.

The verse emphasizes the volatile nature of power and aggression: cruelty and triumphal laughter amid armed strength foreshadow instability and the consequences of domination.
