इंद्र उवाच । जानेहं दनुमुख्यानां प्रधानं त्वां तु बाष्कले । नात्याश्चर्यमिदं भाति त्वयि दृष्टेऽसुरोत्तम

iṃdra uvāca | jānehaṃ danumukhyānāṃ pradhānaṃ tvāṃ tu bāṣkale | nātyāścaryamidaṃ bhāti tvayi dṛṣṭe'surottama

Indra bersabda: “Wahai Bāṣkala, aku mengetahui engkau sebagai pemimpin utama dalam kalangan Dānava. Wahai yang terbaik antara Asura, setelah melihatmu, hal ini tidaklah terlalu menghairankan bagiku.”
