Cosmic Time, Cycles of Creation and Dissolution, and the Varāha Uplift of Earth

ततः क्षितिं समां कृत्वा पृथिव्यामचिनोद्गिरीन् । यथाविभागं भगवाननादिः पुरुषोत्तमः

tataḥ kṣitiṃ samāṃ kṛtvā pṛthivyāmacinodgirīn | yathāvibhāgaṃ bhagavānanādiḥ puruṣottamaḥ

Kemudian setelah meratakan bumi, Bhagavān—tanpa permulaan, Puruṣottama—menimbunkan gunung-ganang di atasnya, membahagikannya menurut wilayah yang sewajarnya.
