Cosmic Time, Cycles of Creation and Dissolution, and the Varāha Uplift of Earth

ओषध्यः फलमूलिन्यो रोमभ्यस्तस्य जज्ञिरे । त्रेतायुगमुखे ब्रह्मा कल्पस्यादौ नृपोत्तम

oṣadhyaḥ phalamūlinyo romabhyastasya jajñire | tretāyugamukhe brahmā kalpasyādau nṛpottama

Daripada bulu halus makhluk itu lahirlah herba ubatan serta tumbuhan yang berbuah dan berakar. Wahai raja yang utama, pada permulaan kalpa, di ambang Yuga Tretā, Brahmā memulakan karya penciptaan.
