Bhīṣma

Concept: Cosmic creation unfolds in time-cycles; Brahmā’s role is instrumental and time-bound, while the deeper Purāṇic frame ultimately roots creation in the Supreme (Viṣṇu).

Application: Hold roles and achievements as delegated and time-limited; cultivate wonder without losing devotion to the ultimate source.

Primary Rasa: adbhuta

Secondary Rasa: shanta

Type: celestial_realm

Visual Art Cues: {"scene_description":"Bhīṣma, aged yet radiant with dharma-tejas, sits respectfully before a sage, his palms joined as he asks about Brahmā’s first establishment in time. Behind the imagined narration, a translucent vision appears: Viṣṇu reclining on Śeṣa in the cosmic ocean, a lotus rising from His navel with four-faced Brahmā seated upon it.","primary_figures":["Bhīṣma","Senior sage/teacher","Viṣṇu (visionary backdrop)","Śeṣa","Brahmā (lotus-born)"],"setting":"An āśrama discourse foreground with a cosmic-vision vignette in the sky: Kṣīra-samudra-like waters, lotus stem, and Brahmā’s seat.","lighting_mood":"divine radiance","color_palette":["sapphire blue","pearl white","lotus pink","antique gold","deep teal"],"tanjore_prompt":"Tanjore painting style: foreground Bhīṣma in reverent posture before a rishi, background medallion showing Viṣṇu on Śeṣa over the cosmic ocean with a gold-leaf lotus emerging from the navel bearing Brahmā; heavy gold embellishment, ruby-green textiles, ornate crowns, gem-like highlights on conch and discus.","pahari_prompt":"Pahari miniature style: refined Bhīṣma with white beard and calm eyes, seated on a simple mat; above, a delicate cloud-framed vision of Nārāyaṇa on Śeṣa and the lotus-born Brahmā, cool blues and pinks, fine wave patterns, lyrical composition.","kerala_mural_prompt":"Kerala mural style: bold outlines, stylized Śeṣa coils, Viṣṇu in deep blue with yellow garments, lotus in bright pink, Brahmā in warm ochre; Bhīṣma and rishi at the lower register, temple-wall symmetry and ornamental borders.","pichwai_prompt":"Pichwai cloth painting style: central lotus motif rising from Viṣṇu, surrounded by concentric floral borders and stylized waves; Bhīṣma and sage at the bottom as devotees; deep indigo field with gold lotuses, peacocks at corners, intricate vine work."}
