FAQs

It presents creation as arising through a chain of principles (tattvas) from Mahat onward, culminating in the formation of the brahmāṇḍa (cosmic egg), under the presiding influence of the Puruṣa.

Puruṣa refers to the Cosmic Person—the supreme presiding consciousness—whose oversight (adhiṣṭhāna) enables the insentient principles of nature to function and generate the cosmos.

Mahat is the first evolute often identified with cosmic intelligence, while viśeṣas are the final “particularized” products of manifestation (often understood as the gross elements and their concrete forms), marking the completion of the creative sequence that yields the cosmic egg.
