Unspecified (a group addressing a supreme creator-lord, likely Brahmā in a creation-context)
Concept: Created beings may mistake delegated power for ultimate supremacy; pride (mada) distorts dharmic order.

Sandhi Resolution Notes: bhagavan+trailokyam -> bhagavaṃstrailokyam; devebhyaḥ+adhikāḥ -> devebhyadhikāḥ
It credits the supreme creator-lord with both creating the speakers and granting them a share or domain within the threefold cosmos (heaven, mid-world, and underworld).
The line “devebhy-adhikāḥ kṛtāḥ” indicates a bestowed status or authority higher than ordinary gods, emphasizing that rank and power in the cosmos are gifts of the creator, not self-earned.
The verse models humility and gratitude: even exalted beings acknowledge their origin, privileges, and superiority as dependent on the Lord’s creative will and grace.
