Unnamed interlocutor addressing Brahmā (listener requesting continuation of the narrative)

Concept: Reverent inquiry (paripraśna) is integral to receiving Purāṇic dharma; hearing must be followed by asking for the ‘uttara’—the consequential actions and their sanctifying effects.

Application: When studying scripture, ask: what happened next, what was practiced, and what was the result? Turn inspiration into actionable dharma (seva, vrata, tīrtha-visit, or daily discipline).

Primary Rasa: adbhuta

Secondary Rasa: shanta

Visual Art Cues: {"scene_description":"A respectful questioner leans forward toward Brahmā, eyes bright with disciplined eagerness. FAQs

It acts as a transition: the listener confirms having heard Brahmā’s account so far and requests the next events—what happened afterward and what actions were performed at that location.

No. It refers generally to “that place” (tasmin sthale) without naming it in this śloka; the identification typically appears in surrounding verses.

It highlights disciplined listening (śravaṇa) and respectful inquiry—receiving teaching carefully and then seeking clarification to understand the sequence of events and their significance.
