The Greatness of the Ancestors: Ekoddiṣṭa Śrāddha, Āśauca Rules, and Sapiṇḍīkaraṇa

मृताहे पार्वणं कुर्वन्नधो याति स मानवः । संपृक्ते स्वर्गती भावे प्रेतमोक्षो यतो भवेत्

mṛtāhe pārvaṇaṃ kurvannadho yāti sa mānavaḥ | saṃpṛkte svargatī bhāve pretamokṣo yato bhavet

Seseorang yang melakukan śrāddha pārvāṇa pada hari kematian yang tidak baik akan jatuh ke keadaan rendah. Namun apabila ia dihubungkan dengan benar kepada keadaan yang membawa ke syurga, maka daripada itulah pembebasan roh mendiang (preta) tercapai.
