Secondary Rasa: adbhuta

Visual Art Cues: {"scene_description":"Brahmā proclaims the ‘Pādma’ to the world, and the words appear as luminous syllables forming a lotus-shaped mandala that shelters diverse beings beneath its petals. Sages and householders alike stand under this symbolic canopy, suggesting scripture as a living support.","primary_figures":["Brahmā","assembled sages","householders (symbolic)"],"setting":"A cosmic-ritual dais or a grand āśrama courtyard where proclamation is made; lotus-mandala hovering above like a protective dome.","lighting_mood":"golden dawn","color_palette":["sunrise gold","lotus pink","ivory","deep teal","saffron"],"tanjore_prompt":"Tanjore painting style: Brahmā with four faces proclaiming, a radiant lotus-mandala of Sanskrit syllables above, devotees beneath; lavish gold leaf on the mandala and halos, rich saffron and emerald garments, ornate borders with lotus and conch motifs.","pahari_prompt":"Pahari miniature style: Brahmā seated on a lotus, sages listening in a garden courtyard; a subtle lotus-shaped aura symbolizes ‘Pādma’ as support; delicate lines, soft dawn colors, refined faces, gentle landscape depth.","kerala_mural_prompt":"Kerala mural style: frontal Brahmā with bold outlines, lotus mandala overhead, rows of listeners below; strong red-yellow-green palette, stylized floral borders, temple mural symmetry and rhythmic patterning.","pichwai_prompt":"Pichwai cloth painting style: central lotus canopy with script-like ornamentation, devotees arranged symmetrically beneath; deep blue background with gold and white detailing, intricate floral borders, repeating lotus medallions."}

Sandhi Resolution Notes: etadeva = etat + eva; harir... not here; tacca = tat + ca; pādmamityucyate = pādmam + iti + ucyate; sarvabhūtāśrayaṃ = sarva + bhūta + āśrayam.

FAQs

Because Brahmā proclaimed it as “Pādma,” and the wise describe it as the support (āśraya) of all beings—hence the name “Pādma.”

It implies universal refuge/support: the teaching is presented as foundational and sustaining for all living beings, not limited to a single group or practice.

It frames the Purāṇic teaching as meant for the welfare of all beings, encouraging study and transmission of scripture with a universal, beneficent intent.
