कारणं चागमे ब्रूहि वृंदारकसमद्युते । सूत उवाच । पित्राहं तु समादिष्टो व्यासशिष्येण धीमता

kāraṇaṃ cāgame brūhi vṛṃdārakasamadyute | sūta uvāca | pitrāhaṃ tu samādiṣṭo vyāsaśiṣyeṇa dhīmatā

“Dan nyatakan juga sebab kedatanganmu, wahai yang sinarnya menyamai para dewa.” Sūta berkata: “Aku telah diarahkan oleh ayahku, murid Vyāsa yang bijaksana.”
