Kāmākṣā-māhātmya (Glory of Kāmākṣā) with Siddhanātha Account
अथ सिद्धनाथचरित्रसहितं कामाक्षा माहात्म्यं प्रारभ्यते । मोहिन्युवाच । श्रुतं कामोदकाख्यानं पापघ्नं पुण्यदं नृणाम् । सांप्रतं श्रोतुमिच्छामि कामाक्षायाः फलं द्विज ॥ १ ॥
atha siddhanāthacaritrasahitaṃ kāmākṣā māhātmyaṃ prārabhyate | mohinyuvāca | śrutaṃ kāmodakākhyānaṃ pāpaghnaṃ puṇyadaṃ nṛṇām | sāṃprataṃ śrotumicchāmi kāmākṣāyāḥ phalaṃ dvija || 1 ||
Kini bermulalah Māhātmya Kāmākṣā beserta riwayat Siddhanātha. Mohinī berkata: “Aku telah mendengar kisah Kāmōdaka, yang memusnahkan dosa dan mengurniakan pahala kebajikan kepada manusia. Sekarang aku ingin mendengar, wahai dvija (yang dua kali lahir), tentang buah rohani Kāmākṣā.”
