The Greatness of Puruṣottama
Aṣṭākṣarī Maṇḍala-Pūjā and Nyāsa
पूजितं यस्तु पश्येत्स प्रविशेद्विष्णुमव्ययम् । सकृदप्यर्चितो येन विधिनानेन केशवः ॥ ४९ ॥
pūjitaṃ yastu paśyetsa praviśedviṣṇumavyayam | sakṛdapyarcito yena vidhinānena keśavaḥ || 49 ||
Sesiapa yang menyaksikan Tuhan sedang dipuja, dia memasuki Viṣṇu Yang Tidak Binasa. Kerana dengan tata cara ini, walau sekali sahaja Keśava dipersembahkan pemujaan, tetap berbuah ganjaran.
Suta (narrating Purāṇic teaching in the Uttara-bhāga tirtha-mahātmya style)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
It elevates darśana and simple participation in worship: even seeing Viṣṇu being worshipped is praised as a direct cause for attaining the imperishable Viṣṇu (moksha-oriented fruit).
It emphasizes accessibility of bhakti—Keśava’s grace is not restricted to elaborate austerities; even a single, properly performed act of worship (or reverent witnessing of it) is presented as spiritually transformative.
The term vidhinā (“by prescribed procedure”) points to ritual correctness—knowledge aligned with Kalpa (ritual injunctions) and basic mantra/ācāra discipline—showing that devotion is strengthened by following scriptural method.
