Glory of Puruṣottama: Pañcatīrthī Observance and Narasiṃha Worship
Narada (narrative voice within a Tirtha/ritual merit discourse; addressing 'Devi' as part of the cited dialogue)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: karuna
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It emphasizes the transformative power of properly performed sacred acts—especially deity installation and worship done by vidhi—stating that even heavy karmic impurity (mahāpātaka) can be mitigated through sincere, rule-based devotion and ritual discipline.
Bhakti here is expressed as active service: personally establishing the divine presence (pratiṣṭhā) and worshipping with prescribed reverence. The verse teaches that devotion joined with correct practice becomes a potent purifier of the devotee’s life.
The stress on 'vidhānataḥ' points to Kalpa (ritual procedure) and related prayoga—knowing how to perform installation and pūjā according to injunctions—showing that correct ritual method is treated as spiritually consequential.
