Puruṣottama-māhātmya
The Greatness of Puruṣottama Kṣetra
Suta (narrating Narada Purana’s tirtha-mahatmya discourse; framed as teachings associated with Narada’s tradition)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
It emphasizes tirtha-based bhakti: mere darśana of Baladeva, Kṛṣṇa, and Subhadrā at the sacred site is presented as intrinsically sanctifying, and their māhātmya is to be known as wholly purifying.
Bhakti here is expressed through reverent darśana of the Lord and His divine associates; the verse highlights that focused devotion—especially toward Kṛṣṇa—connects the devotee to the full spiritual potency (māhātmya) of the kṣetra.
No specific Vedāṅga technique is taught in this line; the practical takeaway is ritual-bhakti practice—undertaking tīrtha-yātrā and receiving darśana with faith as a means to accrue puṇya within the Purāṇic dharma framework.
