वाराणसीमभ्युपेत्य पंचायतनमुत्तमम् । आराध्यमानो देवशं भीष्मस्तत्र स्थितोऽभवत् ॥ ४२ ॥

vārāṇasīmabhyupetya paṃcāyatanamuttamam | ārādhyamāno devaśaṃ bhīṣmastatra sthito'bhavat || 42 ||

Setelah tiba di Vārāṇasī dan mendatangi tempat suci Pañcāyatana yang utama, Bhīṣma tinggal di sana, disembah oleh rombongan para dewa.
