The Greatness of Gayā
Gayā-Māhātmya
क्रियते पतितानां तु गते संवत्सरे क्वचित् । देशकालप्रमाणत्वाद्गया कूपे स्वबंधुभिः ॥ ४३ ॥
kriyate patitānāṃ tu gate saṃvatsare kvacit | deśakālapramāṇatvādgayā kūpe svabaṃdhubhiḥ || 43 ||
Bagi mereka yang telah jatuh daripada tata laku yang ditetapkan, upacara itu dilakukan hanya pada waktu-waktu tertentu—kadang-kadang setelah setahun berlalu—kerana kesahihannya bergantung pada tempat dan masa yang tepat; maka ia dilaksanakan oleh kaum kerabat sendiri di telaga Gayā (Gayā-kūpa).
