Narada (teaching, in a Tirtha-Mahatmya context; dialogue tradition commonly framed with Sanatkumara)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It teaches that mantra-centered worship has trans-generational spiritual efficacy, extending merit and deliverance to one’s ancestors and helping free them from the cycle of saṃsāra.
By emphasizing pūjā performed with a specific mantra, it highlights focused devotional practice (mantra-bhakti) as a powerful means to benefit both the worshipper and their lineage.
It points to correct mantra-prayoga (application of sacred formula) and ritual procedure—areas informed by Śikṣā (phonetics) and Vyākaraṇa (grammar) for accurate recitation, central to effective pūjā.
