The Account of the Fruits of Bathing at Particular Sacred Places
Tīrtha-viśeṣa-snāna-phala
तपस्तप्त्वा पतिं लेभे सेव्यमेतत्प्रयागवत् । पुण्यदं स्नातकं तीर्थं विश्वामित्रस्तपश्चरन् ॥ ५१ ॥
tapastaptvā patiṃ lebhe sevyametatprayāgavat | puṇyadaṃ snātakaṃ tīrthaṃ viśvāmitrastapaścaran || 51 ||
Setelah bertapa, dia memperoleh seorang suami. Tīrtha suci ini patut diziarahi seperti Prayāga. Ia ialah tempat mandi yang mengurniakan pahala; bahkan Viśvāmitra, ketika menjalani tapa, turut memuliakannya.

The verse teaches that serving and bathing at a tīrtha yields puṇya (spiritual merit) comparable to Prayāga, and that tapas combined with tīrtha-sevā leads to auspicious fruition (such as attaining one’s desired life-support, here expressed as obtaining a husband).
Bhakti is implied through “sevyam”—the tīrtha is to be revered and approached with faith and service; such reverent observance (including snāna) becomes a devotional act that purifies and supports dharmic aims.
