FAQs

Neglect and abandonment of one’s responsibilities toward another being become causal links in later suffering; the narrative frames present misfortune as ripening from earlier acts and omissions.

Primarily within Vaṃśānucarita/Carita (narrative of persons and events) rather than Sarga/Pratisarga/Manvantara; it is an etiological story explaining a current condition.

Pātāla and Nāgas often symbolize hidden forces and subterranean karmic residues; what is ‘left behind’ in the forest (unresolved duty) is ‘taken up’ by deeper, unseen agencies.
