Adhyaya 65Svarocis Enjoys on the Mountain; A Debate on Marital Fidelity and Desire

एता न दयिताः पत्युर्नैतासां दयितः पतिः ।

विनोदमात्रमेवैताः यथा परिजनोऽपरः ॥

etā na dayitāḥ patyur naitāsāṃ dayitaḥ patiḥ |

vinodamātram evaitā yathā parijano 'paraḥ ||

Para wanita ini bukanlah kekasih sejati bagi suami, dan suami itu juga bukanlah kekasih sejati bagi mereka. Mereka hanyalah untuk hiburan—seperti para pelayan lain di dalam rumah tangga.
