Adhyaya 48 — The Emanation of Beings from Brahma: Night, Day, Twilight, and the Orders of Creation
उत्ससर्ज च भूतेशस्तनुं तामप्यसौ विभुः ।
सा चापविद्धा दिवसṃ सत्त्वप्रायमजायत ॥
utsasarja ca bhūteśas tanuṃ tām apy asau vibhuḥ |
sā cāpaviddhā divasaṃ sattvaprāyam ajāyata ||
Tuhan yang perkasa bagi segala makhluk itu juga menanggalkan tubuh tersebut. Apabila ia dibuang, terjadilah “Siang”, yang didominasi oleh sattva.

Day is associated with sattva—visibility, activity aligned with clarity, and the conditions for knowledge and dharmic action.
Sarga: creation includes not only beings but also the cosmic-temporal environment in which they function.
The alternation of discarded bodies into day/night suggests cyclic veiling and unveiling—tamas and sattva as cosmic ‘moods’ structuring experience.
